Where can go and take your dog into Blockbuster to look for movies? At the South Beach blockbuster of course… Honestly I am not really sure if they like it or not but my husband prefers to do what most South Beach locals do and do it until they put a sign on the door stating, “NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE STORE”. If you are not a dog person it’s probably not so funny, but to me it’s hilarious. When I first moved to Miami Beach I couldn’t believe the places where I saw dogs, at the grocery store (most have the signs now), at the nail salon and I even saw one lady take a larger sized springer spaniel into Macy’s the other day.
My dog Suede loves it because it means more opportunities for her to be out and about. I can only imagine how her life might have been different if we hadn’t chosen her from that dingy old trailer park. We literally drove an hour away from Charlotte, NC and picked her up in the backwoods of North Carolina twelve years ago. (**yes, I will adopt from a shelter next time around).
She is a true city girl at heart. We lost our older boxer a couple of years ago and when Suede had her as a backup, she was a little on the feisty side. Now she realizes that there is no backup and now she is not so cocky.
I want to introduce you to Suede because she is a big part of our family and dogs in general are a big part of Miami Beach culture.
