What’s the Neighborhood Like?

The South of Fifth Miami Beach Neighborhood is a smaller narrower area of Miami Beach surrounded by the Biscayne Bay, Government Cut, and the Ocean. The streets and the buildings are little the less hustle and bustle compared to the rest of South Beach. The South of Fifth area is considered to be one of the higher end luxury areas of Miami Beach because some of the most expensive luxury buildings are located in this neighborhood. South of Fifth has many of the city’s most popular restaurants and pubs like Prime 112, Joe’s Stone Crabs, as well as many smaller boutique shops.  South of Fifth is also home to South Pointe Park, which was a multimillion dollar renovation for the South Pointe Park area.  One can walk from the tip of the edge of Miami Beach along a beautiful walk path along Government Cut, Biscayne Bay and past the Miami Beach marina on a nicely broad paved path.

South of Fifth is located in Miami Beach, which is located just south of Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles and east of Downtown Miami and Brickell.  There is a major hospital in the neighborhood as well as just about every conceivable kind of shopping in walking distance. The Lincoln Road shopping center is within walking distance to most of Miami Beach, and if you have to drive there’s plenty of parking around the outside mall.  In the evenings, you might wish to take a stroll down Lincoln Road, and if you are a wine bar or pub beer person, there are numerous restaurants and bars to sit and relax while enjoying the water and gorgeous blue sky.
